The countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympics has begun, and the U.S. Men's 2024 Olympic Soccer Team is leaving no stone unturned in their preparation for glory. In a major announcement today, Phoenix Rising FC declared that they would host the U.S. Men’s 2024 Olympic Team for a series of exciting friendly matches at their home ground on 38th St./Washington.

These games are part of a training camp aimed at preparing the U.S. Men's Soccer Team for their first Olympic appearance since Beijing 2008. The friendlies will take place on October 11 (U.S. vs Mexico at 7 p.m.), October 14 (Mexico vs Japan at 3 p.m.), and October 17 (U.S. vs Japan at 8 p.m.).

For fans eager to witness these thrilling encounters, tickets will be available for purchase beginning this Friday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. for Phoenix Rising Season Ticket Members. The general public can start buying tickets from Saturday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. For more details, visit PHXRisingFC.com or call 623-594-9606.

The U.S. Men’s Under-23 Training Camp serves as a crucial platform to nurture young talent. It offers the nation's top prospects an opportunity to confront world-class competition, preparing them for the high-pressure environment of next summer's Olympic tournament.

After a triumphant performance at the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship, where the U.S. team defeated Honduras 3-0, the squad secured its spot in the Olympic Men’s Football Tournament for the first time in 16 years.

Regrettably, Mexico, a bronze medalist at Tokyo 2020, will not be competing in the Olympics this time around, marking their first absence since 2008. Japan, who finished fourth at the delayed 2020 Olympics, is currently preparing for the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar. The Asian Games are also on their agenda, with the knockout stage commencing tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 28.

The U.S. and Japan have a history of engaging matches. In September 2019, during the last U-23 MYNT cycle, the U.S. clinched a 2-0 victory in Chula Vista, Calif. They also faced off during the USA’s last Olympic appearance in 2008, with the U.S. emerging victorious in a tough 1-0 match in Tianjin, China.

As we look forward to these inspiring friendly matches, let's remember that soccer is more than just a game. It's about fostering an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). It's about nurturing talent, developing winning teams, and growing the sport we all love. With these upcoming matches, the U.S. Men's 2024 Olympic Team is set to take another step towards achieving these goals, and we can't wait to cheer them on!
